Lagos Stars ------------- [Under Construction]
Founded in the mid-1980s, Lagos Éireannach FC - or Lagos Stars, as they are now in the KIT LEAGUE - represent a unique fusion of Nigerian and Irish culture, born of the influence brought to Nigeria’s largest city through an Irish business expanding to and being headquartered in nearby Ikeja.
Erinach’s kits are a nod to both their Irish roots and the vibrancy of Lagos and Africa, and the “Emerald Lions" nickname doubles down on this. Furthermore, home matches are played at Emerald Park, a 50,000-seat stadium located on Lagos Island.
As Lagos Erinach venture into their first international competition, they’re aiming to bring the energy and flair of Nigerian football - infused with an Irish tenacity - to the global stage, and the club's supporters, known as "The Shamrock Chanters", are famous for lively pre-match performances that combine traditional Irish dance with Nigerian rhythms
