San Francisco Tide ------------- [Under Construction]
The San Francisco Hamilton Soccer Club was founded in 1994 by locals of the California city buoyed by the renaissance of association football in the USA at the time. Holding a vision of a setup that would embrace diversity and inclusion, the club sought to create a safe and welcoming environment for players of all backgrounds from the outset, including those who had traditionally faced barriers to participation in soccer.
Prioritising inclusivity and representation, the San Fran Ham, as they became known, quickly gained a reputation for a progressive approach to soccer. The club actively recruited players from diverse backgrounds as well as developing a youth academy, providing opportunities for young players from underserved communities to hone their skills and compete at the highest levels.
Remaining steadfast in their commitment to their values even when facing obstacles, the Ham increasingly attracted players and supporters who shared their vision for a more equitable and just soccer community.
Now San Francisco Hamilton take their place in the KIT LEAGUE - as San Francisco Tide - applying their trailblazing to a new context, in the ongoing fight for diversity and inclusion in soccer. The club today integrates development of young players with partnerships with local organisations that support marginalised communities, continuing a commitment to creating a better, more inclusive future for The Beautiful Game.
