Vienna Vulpes ------------- [Under Construction]
The former SK Niederösterreich Vösendorf, now known as Vienna Vulpes, have an impressive history despite their relative youth. Originally founded in 1980 as a local club in Vösendorf, catering for Viennese who, for a variety of reasons, had been pushed out of the capital city proper - hence the “Die Exilanten” (The Exiles) nickname - they quickly gained a reputation for their strong performances on the pitch as they rose through the ranks of the Austrian football system.
In 1995, the club was purchased by a wealthy investor who saw the potential for them to become a major player domestically and, under new ownership, the team moved to the newly built Petersbach Arena.
With significant financial backing, “SKNV” began to attract top talent from across Austria and beyond, winning promotion to the top division in 1999. Since then, they have become a perennial contender on a national level.
In recent years, the club have set their sights on the international stage, with KIT LEAGUE membership and the name change referencing the recognised intelligence of their play and off-pitch dealings. As they prepare to take on some of the best teams in the world, Vienna Vulpes look poised to continue their rise.
