Bangkok Golden Eagles ------------- [Under Construction]
The Bangkok Golden Eagles were founded in 2006, a year marked by Thailand's return to democratic government after several years of military rule. Partly established by a group of European immigrants, in combination with Thai friends, the idea was to bring a flavour of their previous lifestyles to their adopted home.
Playing in bright yellow and black kits, the Eagles quickly became a fan favorite in Bangkok, drawing immigrant crowds almost immediately, and it’s from this burgeoning fanbase that the "Nok Lek" nickname - "little bird" in Thai - was bestowed, nodding to the new club’s, to mix metaphors, underdog-type status.
The Golden Eagles play at the several-times-expanded Royal Euro Stadium, located in the heart of Bangkok's historic district and, with a motto of “We soar together”, the team will be representing for Thailand and the owners’ European nationalities too in the KIT LEAGUE.
