Joburg Rainbow ------------- [Under Construction]

Founded in 1994, Johannesburg Rainbow were created in the aftermath of apartheid. As South Africa sought to rebuild itself as a united and democratic nation, the team was seen as a symbol of a confident future.

The club name and nickname reflect the diverse cultures and ethnicities of the players and supporters, while the motto - "Unity in Diversity" - embodies the team's commitment to promoting harmony in the country. Playing at the "Freedom Arena" in the colours of the - at the time of the club’s formation - newly adopted national flag, the intention was for this to symbolise a new era of South African football as well as life and culture.

Johannesburg Rainbow, as they prepare for the KIT LEAGUE, have signed some promising young players from across Africa, adding further strength to the squad, and the supporters’ colourful displays and choreographed chants will inject fun into every match the side plays.
