Green Star Casablanca ------------- [Under Construction]
Founded in 1961, not long after Moroccan independence, Etoile Verte de Casablanca - now Green Star Casablanca for the international audience - have fiercely patriotic origins not compromised by the use of French in their identity.
However, it is undeniable that the club have also always taken pride in being a symbol of unity, embracing both Moroccan and French influences.
Green Star’s shirt of shimmering white overlaid with the focal point of the national flag informed the “Émeraudes (de Casa[blanca])" nickname through the design’s jewel-like look from the distance of the sands while the motto - "Unis pour la Gloire" (United for Glory) - lays bare the commitment to unifying the diverse communities of the African country’s largest city.
The newly built "Independence Park" - with its 50,000 seats - will host a diverse squad including local talent and stars of various national teams with a promise to do the supporter base and the nation at large proud on a new stage.
