In 1960, a new team burst onto the Shanghai football scene. Known as Shanghai Skyhawks FC, the team's blue and white kit reflected the colors of the city's famous skyline, while the organically bestowed nickname, The Hawks, captured their notorious speed and agility on the field.

The team's motto, "飞跃天际" (Soar to the Skies), reflects their ambition to reach new heights in their pursuit of greatness, while their home stadium, the Skyhawks' Nest, is located in the heart of the city and is known for its raucous atmosphere.
