Brussels Alliance ------------- [Under Construction]v
Brussels Alliance Football Club were formed in 2016 as a response to the growing anti-European Union sentiment sweeping across Europe, culminating in the UK's decision to leave the EU, popularly known as "Brexit." A group of heavily financially backed Brussels-based football enthusiasts of different nationalities, including Belgian, French, German and British, came together to form a football club that would act as a symbol of cross-nation cooperation and unity in the face of political division.
Originally known as Etterbeek United, the club have changed their name to Brussels Alliance for marketing reasons on entering the KIT LEAGUE. The aim is to capitalise on the football marketability of Uniteds and Citys, also sticking to an English name to appeal to a wider audience.
Brussels Alliance, in Etterbeek United form, quickly gained a reputation for their diverse and inclusive ethos, attracting players and supporters from different backgrounds and nationalities. Success on the pitch has followed, albeit at a relatively low level, as an attractive style of football and strong team spirit has paid dividends.
As the political landscape in Europe continues to shift, Brussels Alliance’s inclusion in the KIT LEAGUE - due to their huge potential rather than national dominance - acts as a beacon of hope of convivial international relations, proving that football can bring people together and transcend national boundaries.
