Munich Boarn ------------- [Under Construction]
Celebrating Bavarian culture in both the club name - “Bavarians” in Bavarian - and the kit which nods to the German federal state’s flag, Munich Boarn - formerly SC 1955 Boarn - are a side that take pride in their local identity.
The team that much of the rest of the country loves to hate, their success is born of a bunker mentality and the weight of expectation of a people. While the “The Free Staters” nickname melanges the facts of the matter - Bavaria is officially defined as a “Free State” - and a mild undercurrent of separatism, the club fan base’s politics aren’t necessarily in line with the more general regionalism of the movement.
Indeed, the home city’s English exonym has been adopted for the global KIT LEAGUE setting and the club squad is multicultural, multiethnic and multinational - with the German contingent certainly multiregional - while the Theresienwiesestadion in Munich on match days is an eclectic hub of cosmopolitan society, albeit one that enjoys a Boarn victory over (other) German visitors.
